TERMS & CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. Please notify the Lodge of any changes to your reservation details, late arrivals or cancellations.
  2. Check in time is from 14h00 to 18h00; check out time is by 10h00.
  3. Your reservation will only be guaranteed after the deposit amount requested is received.
  4. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking within 14 days from making your reservation. With all December, Easter & long weekend reservations a 100% deposit is required. Payment of the deposit is also the acknowledgement of our terms & conditions.
  5. With all Christmas, Easter & Long Weekend reservations there will be a minimum booking of 3 nights.

  7. Should you want to pay by Credit Card, we will require you to fill out a Credit Card Authorisation Form (emailed on request) in order to process the required deposit. We are not authorised to accept telephonic credit card details (by law). The balance may be paid at the Lodge, either by Cash or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Master & Debit Cards. (Regret no Diners Club or American Express). All bank transfers must reflect into our bank account before your arrival or departure at the Lodge.
  8. Semonkong Lodge reserves the right to release bookings that are non-guaranteed.
  9. A no-show fee of 100% will be charged if guests fail to arrive at the Lodge on the stated date or if cancellations are done within 24 hours of arrival.
  10. Should a reservation be cancelled between 30 – 120 days before arrival a 15% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.
  11. Should a reservation be cancelled between 15 – 30 days before arrival a 30% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.
  12. Should a reservation be cancelled between 8 – 14 days before arrival, a 70% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.
  13. Should a reservation be cancelled for whatever reason between 0 – 7 days before arrival, a 100% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.
  14. Should a reservation not be honoured because of extreme weather conditions, the deposit paid will be held in lieu of a 3 month revisit period.
  15. The facilities available at the Lodge are strictly reserved for the use of residents.
  16. Rooms sleep a maximum of 2 adults unless otherwise specified. Children aged between 4 – 10 years are charged half price on en-suite room accommodation only. Children aged below 4 years stay free of charge.
  17. No pets allowed.
  18. No smoking inside any of the buildings is permitted.
  19. We do not provide a Room service facility to the rooms from the kitchen or bar. The Duck & Donkey Tavern is available for meals & drinks.
  20. With regard to all activities, we do require Indemnity Forms to be filled once at the Lodge. Should you have Medical Insurance, please supply us with your Medical Insurance No. in case of any emergency.
  21. It is Lodge Policy that with all horse riding, donkey pub crawling & mountain biking activities, riding helmets must be worn.
  22. We strongly recommend that you take out Travel & Medical Insurance should you wish to partake in any of the adventure activities on offer.
  23. Neither Semonkong Lodge (Proprietor: Semonkong Lodge (Pty) Ltd.) nor any or all of the Community, villages or other persons acting for, through or on behalf of the above, shall be responsible for any death, injury or illness sustained or suffered by a person, or for any loss or damage to any property occurring within or arising from a visit to Semonkong Lodge or participation in all activities or surroundings however caused, & whether allegedly due to the negligence or otherwise of the members, employees, agents or helpers of Semonkong Lodge or arising from the use of any of the facilities supplied or from any alleged defect in any equipment, services or conveyance supplied or made available from any liquid or foodstuff supplied, or arising in any other manner and from any other cause whatsoever.
  24. Terms & Conditions as well as our Cancellation Policy are deemed as being accepted on receipt of deposit.
